Job Overview :
We are a small but dynamic tax and financial planning firm focused on providing high-quality tax preparation and planning services to a diverse clientele. We are looking for a detail-oriented Tax Associate Intern to join our team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping clients navigate tax complexities and working with a close-knit, supportive team.
Responsibilities :
- Tax Preparation : Assist in preparing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, small businesses, trusts, and other entities, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Tax Planning : Support in developing and implementing tax-saving strategies and preparing tax projections to meet client financial goals.
- Client Interaction : Gather necessary documents and information from clients, answer client questions, and communicate updates throughout the tax preparation and planning process.
- Data Entry & Review : Input financial data into tax software with precision, conduct initial reviews, and cross-reference documents to ensure accuracy.
- Research & Compliance : Stay current with IRS regulations, tax code changes, and state tax laws, and help ensure firm compliance with all applicable laws.
- Document Management : Organize and maintain accurate client files, manage deadlines, and ensure sensitive information is securely handled.
- Administrative Tasks : Assist with general administrative duties as needed to support efficient office operations.
Qualifications :
Education : Pursuing a bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred; relevant coursework in taxation a plus.Experience : 1+ years of experience in accounting courseworkSkills : Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple clients and tasks under tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills for effective client interactions. Analytical mindset with a willingness to research and problem-solve complex tax issues. Willingness to learn our tax preparation software.What Youll Get :
