Position Summary :

We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The CNC Lathe Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathes to produce precision parts according to blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of machining practices, tooling, and quality control standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce high-quality, precision parts.

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and GD&T specifications.

Program, edit, and adjust machine offsets as needed to maintain part accuracy.

Perform first-piece inspections and conduct in-process quality checks using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

Select, install, and maintain tooling and fixtures.

Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary adjustments to maintain efficiency.

Perform preventive maintenance on machines and keep work area clean and organized.

Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to support production goals and continuous improvement.

Adhere to all company safety standards and procedures.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining preferred.

3+ years of CNC lathe machining experience in a manufacturing environment.

Proficient with CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, or similar).

Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.

Experience with precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.).

Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to quality.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.
