Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse providing safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to patients and significant others.\n
Delivers patient care incorporating Relationship Centered Care and nursing process based on theory, research, evidence-based practice, and organizational nursing standards.\n
Assesses and evaluates patient care needs applying critical thinking skills.\n
Integrates relevant assessment and intervention skills in nursing care delivery.\n
Collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare team in plan of care development, implementation, and evaluation.\n
Prioritizes patient care including teaching, rounding, coaching, planning after hospital care, and delegating as appropriate.\n
Educates patients and caregivers about plan of care, transition of care, health promotion, and disease prevention.\n
Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, family, and healthcare team members.\n
Manages assignments within Modified Primary Nursing Care Delivery Model and allocates material resources effectively.\n
Role models Mount Sinai Relationship Centered Care through various patient care actions such as Admission Welcome, Bedside shift Report, Purposeful Hourly Rounding, Medication Review, Discharge Wrap Up, and MD / RN Unit Collaboration.\n

NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License required.\n
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.\n
Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology (IR) experience required.\n
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.\n
1 year travel experience required for Travel positions; not required for Per Diem positions.\n
EPIC electronic health record experience highly preferred.\n\nSchedule Information\n
Schedule is 12-hour shifts, 8 shifts per pay period, staggered.\n
Work includes weekdays, weekends, holidays, and on-call requirements.\n\nUnit Specific Information\n
Unit : Interventional Radiology Unit\n
Unit has 6 pre / post procedure bays and 5 procedure rooms\n
