Overview
New Jersey Judiciary is seeking an Official Court Reporter 1 (Realtime) Apprentice and Official Court Reporter 2 (Realtime) positions. The role provides verbatim records of judicial proceedings and other meetings, including CART for Supreme Court webcasting, using a stenographic reporting system or a stenographic real-time reporting system under the direction of the Supervisor of Court Reporters. Travel statewide; case Catalyst or Eclipse software is required for Supreme Court webcasting.
Salary
The salary ranges are as follows :
Official Court Reporter 1 Real-Time Apprentice : Schedule A $70,274.38 to $96,192.20; Schedule B $70,274.38 to $86,113.65. For newly hired individuals, starting salary is normally at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement includes an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band / level, whichever is greater. Employees hired prior to October 8, 2014 are Schedule A; those hired on or after October 8, 2014 are Schedule B.
Official Court Reporter 2 Real-Time : Schedule A $84,329.23 to $122,254.95; Schedule B $84,329.23 to $109,445.64. For newly hired individuals, starting salary is normally at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement includes an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band / level, whichever is greater. Employees hired prior to October 8, 2014 are Schedule A; those hired on or after October 8, 2014 are Schedule B.
