American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring BSN and specialized certifications on night shifts.
Responsibilities
Work in an acute care Labor and Delivery unitUnit includes 16 L&D beds, 13 antepartum beds, 32 postpartum beds, 8 triage beds, and 3 OR suites for C-sectionsPatient population includes high-risk pregnancies such as preeclampsia, previa, twins, and diabetesFollows AWHONN staffing guidelines for patient ratiosAbility to float required to Meridian and Nampa hospitals, and to a 13-bed high-risk Antepartum unitNight shifts (7p-7a) with weekend coverage as neededNo call requirementsUse of Epic for EMR and Centricity Perinatal-GE for electronic fetal monitoringOrientation includes one shift in each area : L&D, Antepartum, and L&D ORResponsibilities include managing labor and delivery, circulating for C-sections, and performing initial neonatal resuscitation until NICU arrivalCharge nurse present on each shift and does not take patients unless necessaryCertified surgical techs present every shiftOB Laborist, Neonatologist, and CRNA available in-house 24 / 7Scrubs are providedHoliday and weekend coverage may be required based on unit needsPermanent employees must be away from the facility for at least one year before applying for a travel assignmentRequirements
Active RN license (no pending, must be active at time of consideration)Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) requiredMinimum of 2 years Labor & Delivery experience requiredCurrent certifications required : BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN Fetal MonitoringExperience with LDR, OR circulation in L&D, and titration of Pitocin and insulin dripsDriver’s license requiredTwo professional references : one supervisor within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor within the last 3 years (must include dates of employment and rehire eligibility)Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates)Benefits
