Job Summary :
As a Registered Vascular Technologist, you will perform non-invasive vascular studies to assist in the diagnosis and management of vascular conditions. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure high-quality patient care and safety. Your expertise in vascular imaging will play a crucial role in identifying vascular diseases and guiding treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive non-invasive vascular examinations, including Doppler ultrasound studies, arterial and venous evaluations, and carotid duplex imaging.
- Utilize ultrasound equipment effectively and maintain quality control to ensure optimal image quality and accurate diagnostic results.
- Collaborate with physicians to discuss test results and assist in formulating treatment plans based on findings.
- Review patient medical histories and prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and answering any questions.
- Maintain accurate records of examinations and patient data in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control protocols during procedures.
- Stay updated with advancements in vascular technology and participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Provide patient-centered care that emphasizes empathy, respect, and concern for patient well-being.
Qualifications :
Certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent organization.A relevant associate’s or bachelor’s degree in diagnostic medical sonography or vascular technology,Previous experience in vascular ultrasound and non-invasive testing is preferred.Strong understanding of vascular anatomy, pathology, and hemodynamics.Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.Detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and other healthcare software applications.Benefits :
