The successful candidate is responsible for coordinating daily shipping, receiving, and material movement activities to ensure efficient operations, compliance, and team performance.This role oversees the safe and effective use of powered equipment, maintains accurate data entry and reporting in Ross ERP, and upholds standards for food safety, sanitation, and customer requirements.The Area Leader also manages personnel scheduling, timekeeping, and performance, providing coaching and support as needed to maintain a productive and engaged workforce.In addition, this position serves as the acting Warehouse Supervisor in their absence, ensuring continuity of leadership and operational excellence.Perform additional duties assigned by Management.Ensure that food safety, legality, and quality standards are always maintained.Partners conduct themselves in a manner that is aligned with Illes Foods Core Values :

Key Duties and Responsibilities : Maintain working knowledge of all raw materials, packaging, and Ross ERP applications; verify data and complete required reports. Operate and optimize powered equipment use; fill in when understaffed. Schedule daily material movement to maximize labor and reduce overtime; implement improvements and training as needed. Ensure compliance with BRC, GMP, sanitation, and customer standards; keep department inspection-ready and complete food safety audits on time. Manage personnel performance, timekeeping (Empower), and PTO; address issues as needed. Uphold professional communication and company policies; maintain food safety, quality, legality, and integrity. Perform other duties as assigned; regular attendance required. Required Key Skills and Qualifications : Coordination – Effectively aligning team actions and resources to meet workflow demands. Complex Problem Solving – Diagnosing and resolving operational issues quickly and efficiently. Judgment and Decision Making – Making sound, timely decisions that balance safety, efficiency, and quality. Active Listening – Ensuring clear communication and strong team collaboration. Time Management – Prioritizing tasks and managing team time to maintain productivity and meet deadlines. Experience & Education : Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent desired.Food Industry Experience required.Ability to drive a stand-up forklift.Advanced ability to perform the jobs of warehouse and bulk staging specialists, traffic, and / or inventory control functions.Working Conditions & Physical Demands :
Ability to lift 56 pounds continuously. Ability to handle 55 gallon drums after training. Ability to lift 100 pounds with assistance. Ability to stand continuously. Bend, stoop, climb, reach above shoulder, crouch and push and pull frequently. Use feet, hands, wrist, arms and shoulders constantly. Work while standing on a 10 foot stepladder with rails. Temperature variation of 55 to 110 degrees.
