Job Description

We’re looking for organized and dependable Patient Access Representatives who are passionate about helping others and ensuring smooth patient entry into care. In this role, you’ll coordinate patient registrations for outpatient services, pre-admissions, emergency visits, and hospital admissions. Your attention to detail and communication skills will be key in verifying insurance, obtaining authorizations, and supporting a caring patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

Handle registration and admission processes for patients across departments including ER, Outpatient, and Hospital

Obtain pre-authorizations and notify insurance providers as required

Operate hospital telephone systems and assist with internal communications as needed

Maintain accurate and timely documentation, ensuring 95%+ accuracy on audits

Collaborate effectively with other staff and departments to ensure continuity of care

Collaborative Teamwork

This role involves working closely with our team to deliver effective, patient-focused services and contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent preferred

Knowledge of clerical skills and PC Windows software

Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English

Capable of working independently and exercising sound judgment

Maintain professionalism, courteous behavior, and collaboration with coworkers

Must be able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with our patients, families, coworkers, and community
