About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (19 : 00 - 07 : 30)

Experience : Minimum of 2 years in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

License : Current State or Compact License in hand

Certifications : BLS, PALS

Must-Have :

• Covid card required
• Ability to pass basic arrhythmia exam
• Flexible attitude and teamwork skills
• Experience training or mentoring newer nurses

Description :

Covid card and nursing license are required upon submission.

No holiday time off will be approved.

Local candidates are within 75 miles.

Floating to other units is required, including training for NICU.

Every third weekend is required.

The patient-to-nurse ratio for PICU is 1 : 2 and for pediatrics is 1 : 3-4.

Self-scheduling is available with manager's final approval.

Candidates must be able to perform total patient care as no PCAs are on the unit.

Candidates will care for COVID patients.

Patient demographics include infants and pediatrics with common diagnoses such as GI issues, respiratory illnesses, and DKA.

The unit comprises 10 beds with 4 PICU beds and 8 convertible beds.

Interdisciplinary support is available.

Experience with CPAP, Vapo, and high flow therapies is preferred.
