Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Ultrasound Technologist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days, nights, rotating Employment Type : Travel ULTRASOUND TECH 60 MILE RADIUS RULE Varying Shifts 13 weeks Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology or Medical Sonography required. One year of radiologic / imaging experience. Specific experience and training in Medical Sonography. Vascular and obstetric experience required. Possesses knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology and medical terminology. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Department specific training. Proficiency with most major Medical Sonography equipment, manufacturer's hardware and software. Ability to comply with on-call specifics. Lead - Proficient in the use of a personal computer including word processing. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to independently take initiative and exercise good judgment in decision-making. Ability to work efficiently and effectively under deadline pressures and to simultaneously handles multiple projects. Professional maturity that daily sets the tone in carrying out the responsibilities of the position. High degree of honesty, integrity and confidentiality. Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to undertake new responsibilities as assigned. Ability to work under stress. Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)or Registry eligible. Current BCLS certification.
