Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery travel assignment requiring at least 2 years of travel experience in high-risk hospital settings.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
  • Care for high-risk pregnancy patients
  • 12-hour night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., three days per week
  • EPIC charting system is used
  • Assignment duration is 13 weeks
  • May float to a nearby sister hospital as needed
  • Responsible for comprehensive patient assessment and delivery of competent, appropriate nursing care
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient assessments, care, and education
  • Provide patient and family education related to procedures and care
  • Adhere to safety protocols including National Patient Safety Goals and use of two patient identifiers
  • No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
  • Dress code requires compliance with hospital policy
  • Returning travelers must take a 30-60 day break after a one-year assignment before returning

  • Active NJ or compact RN license required
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience in large hospital settings with high-risk pregnancies
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
