A Day in the Life

We are seeking a proactive and leadership oriented Operations Supervisor to support 1st shift clean room assembly operations at Plymouth Nathan Lane. This role includes the leadership of 50 direct reports across 4 clean room assembly lines in the Self Expanding Peripheral Vascular Stent value stream.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
  • Plans and administers procedures and budgets.
  • Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct / indirect labor.
  • Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function.
  • Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas.
  • Management Skills : Management of Financial and Material Resources, Critical Thinking, Project Management, Management of Personnel Resources, Collaboration and Productivity Software, Effective Communication Skills.
  • Functional Skills : Machining and Manufacturing Technologies, Proficient computer skills, Data Science and Analysis, Lean Manufacturing and continued improvement, Managing Quality.

Must Have : Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a production environment
  • Nice to Have :

  • 5+ years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Experience supervising manufacturing staff, handling all aspects of talent management, including hiring, coaching, scheduling, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Experience in a regulated industry such as medical devices.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Work experience with the following : FDA Quality System Regulations, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), ISO 13485, ISO 9001 standards or equivalent.

    Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD) : $81,600.00 - $122,400.00

    This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).

    The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification / education, market conditions, and location.
