Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVOR Operating Room position requiring open heart and vascular surgery expertise and a SC or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of a hospital setting
  • Averages 6 surgical cases per day including open heart and vascular procedures
  • Day shift hours from 06 : 30 to 14 : 30
  • Weekday schedule with required weekend call
  • Duties include both circulating and assisting within or out of the sterile field
  • Responsible for providing nursing care during open heart and vascular surgical procedures
  • Prepares and positions patients on the operating table and preps the operating room for procedures
  • Enforces use of the Safe Surgery checklist for patient safety
  • Delegates, supervises, and evaluates other team members and communicates with families and surgical team
  • Expected to participate in ongoing professional development and department efficiency
  • Must willingly participate in assigned call rotations
  • Follows the dress code and uses appropriate health and safety equipment

  • Active SC or compact RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years CVOR nursing experience required
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
  • Nursys license verification
  • Knowledge of relevant computer programs used in patient care delivery
