GI Hospitalist-Indiana
This locum tenens assignment in Indiana is a perfect fit for a GI Hospitalist seeking part-time coverage that offers a great work-life balance with a week-on / week-off schedule. We're looking for a physician to provide ongoing support due to a long-term permanent search.
Highlights
- Block scheduling is available with a week-on / week-off model
- Only 1 week per month is required in 2026, so you can choose dates that work for you
- Bread and butter GI cases-no EUS / ERCP required
Practice Setting
Inpatient GI Hospitalist model at a 170-bed community hospitalAdmissions are requiredPager call coverage with 2-3 phone consults per daySchedule
Scheduled clinical hours are 8 a.m.-4 p.m., followed by pager callOngoing need for short-term coverageWeekend coverage is required as part of the block scheduleProcedures and Cases
Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy and foreign body removalLower GI endoscopy with colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopyLiver biopsy is required for this assignmentRequirements
Must be board certified or board eligible in GastroenterologyMust be licensed in IN or open to IMLC PhysiciansACLS and BLS certifications are requiredCredentialing Requirements
Estimated credentialing timeframe is 90 daysMust have a clean NPDB and no outstanding medical malpracticeTravel Accommodations
