We are currently seeking a Senior Desktop Support Engineer.

Candidates must be a United States .

Interviews may be conducted either via Microsoft Teams video or in person, in Frankfort, KY. The selected candidate is expected to work primarily in an office setting. There will be opportunities to work from home on certain occasions, such as adverse weather or whenyou may need to be at home. The hybrid work schedule is at the supervisor's discretion and approval. This position is a physical job that requires handling components (desktops, notebooks, servers).

Job Description :

We are seekingan individual to work as a Senior Desktop Support Engineer for our client's Information Technology Branch's Field Support Section.

Hours :

  • 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm EDT, theposition requires physical work on equipment in our client's centralIT location and remote locations around the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Travel away from Frankfort will be necessary, and a client IT Pool vehicle will be provided for use. Overnight travel accommodations will be provided by our client.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Main responsibility is to administer our client's Desktops, Notebooks, and Mobile Data Terminals (and accompanying equipment).
  • Hardware and software support, including specialized law enforcement software and devices.
  • Assist with IT equipment in client cruisers.
  • Work with vendors for support on workstation issues.
  • Coordinate with Tier 1 and 3 personnel on support issues.
  • Work with the IT Ticket System.
  • Performs other tasks and duties as assigned or needed by our client.

    • Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :

  • Windows desktop operating systems support client hardware and software, including Office 365 applications.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Ability to create technical documentation.
  • Provide Tier 2 support to other personnel in the IT Branch.
  • Ability to receive training and retain new knowledge.
  • Ability to be professional and courteous.
