Administrative Assistant For The Safe-T Center

The Sexual Assault Forensic Examination Telehealth (SAFE-T) Center at Penn State's Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing seeks a part-time Administrative Assistant to support research, education, and outreach initiatives focused on improving forensic nursing care for survivors of sexual violence.

Job Duties

• Administrative Support : Calendar management, correspondence, proofreading, purchasing, and event coordination.
• Communications : Create presentations, update marketing materials, manage website content and social media.
• Meeting Coordination : Schedule meetings / webinars, prepare agendas, take minutes, and manage follow-up.
• Outreach Support : Coordinate with partners, submit conference abstracts, research stakeholders.
• Project Support : Documentation, inventory management, training preparation, and process improvement.

About Our Program :

The SAFE-T Center at Penn State, and its corresponding sexual assault forensic telehealth program (SAFE-T System), seeks to enhance specialty sexual assault forensic exam care in rural and underserved communities. Our nurse-led program is based out of the Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing and housed at University Park, PA. We began in 2016 with a US Department of Justice Office of Victims of Crime grant and have since grown and expanded the program beyond Pennsylvania.

Background Checks / Clearances : This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks : PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.

Campus Security Crime Statistics : Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
