The Associate Director (AD) will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive promotional platform for the gastroesophageal adenocarcinoma (GEA) indication launch for a first in class HER2 targeted bispecific agent.

Specifically, the AD will have two primary areas of responsibility : (1) lead the strategic message creation across promotion for the GEA indication launch (upon data availability) and (2) manage several cross-functional teams working on key strategic and tactical projects / workstreams that will be critical for the launch. As a core member of the growing Oncology Franchise, the AD will be responsible for developing and executing strategic and tactical plans to drive product adoption across FDA-approved indications.

This position will report to the Sr. Director.

Essential Functions & Expectations :

Lead the development and implementation of the promotional platform for the GEA indication (e.g. messaging, creative branding, and market research); lead cross-functional teams through successful execution of the strategic and tactical launch plan.

Partner with marketing, sales, medical and market access to ensure alignment for GEA launch readiness.

Work with key functional partners implementing market research initiatives and evaluating third-party market data to generate a deeper understanding of customer / market needs.

Assist in operational analysis, evaluating existing strategy and derive recommendations to drive prioritization within the business, allowing for improved understanding in support of marketing execution.

Help to develop / communicate a compelling vision and sense of purpose for functional partners and functional team members; assist in formulating long-range and mid-term strategies; demonstrate courage in advancing new, innovative ideas for our GI indications.

Manage several key vendors, including a primary advertising agency of record.

Establish a strong partnership with the sales team and other field-based teams, to ensure optimal execution; partner with Sales Training to develop a comprehensive and effective training plan

Lead the Sales Advisory Team (SAT) in conjunction with select sales leaders through approval serving as the marketing lead on cross-functional teams

Collaborate with Market Access team members in developing and communicating key aspects of the product's value proposition and other attributes to key stakeholders

Lead coordination and planning of PMRC reviews relating to applicable work; responsible for applicable HCP marketing budget management, including managing work orders, accrual process, applicable forecast lines; work with cross-functional teams including commercial services and finance department, as needed. Demonstrate the ability to quickly understand complex markets, disease states, competitive landscapes and relevant market and managed care dynamics

Ensure strategic and tactical plans meet compliance and regulatory guidelines and company policies

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

7+ years of commercial experience in the pharmaceutical / biotech industry, with significant in-line marketing experience

Launch experience preferred

2+ years of oncology experience required (inc. product(s) requiring biomarker testing)

Sales / field experience preferred

Operate in a high paced launch environment

Taking initiative and delivering results

Inspiring and influencing

Communication skills (including the ability to present to large audiences)

Outstanding interpersonal skills and demonstrated cross-functional collaboration

Good judgement and evidence of good analytical, problem solving, strategic thinking, planning and project management with attention to details

Approximately 30-40% travel is required

Required / Preferred Education and Licenses :

Bachelor's Degree

MBA (preferred)

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the full and complete base pay range is : $160,000.00 - $240,000.00

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.

At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
