Job Description

As a Security Officer - Access Control in Oshkosh, WI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location to help to deter unauthorized entry and / or suspicious activity.
  • Verify identification and credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors entering the premises.
  • Provide customer service by answering questions and giving directions to personnel and visitors.
  • Enforce site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and security-related matters.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe for irregularities and / or security-related concerns.
  • Report and document any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to established protocols.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and / or site management.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related issues within the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Willingness to work at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
