Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN experienced in nephrology care for night shifts, requiring a MO or compact RN license and peritoneal dialysis expertise.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Telemetry Unit of an acute care hospital
  • Primarily nephrology patient population with telemetry monitoring
  • Night shifts, 3x12 hours weekly (19 : 00–07 : 30)
  • Patient ratios typically 1 : 5-6
  • Every other weekend required, with flexible night scheduling based on rotation
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Floating required within scope to meet facility needs
  • EPIC charting system is used and experience is preferred
  • Care for nephrology and telemetry patients, including those receiving peritoneal dialysis
  • Navy scrubs required for all shifts
  • First-time travelers will be considered
  • Holiday coverage is rotation-based
  • No local candidates will be accepted
  • No more than 7 days of requested time off permitted per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
  • Travelers may stay for up to 18 months, followed by a 3-month break
  • Modules and required training will be completed during pre-start orientation
  • Free parking provided

  • Active MO or compact RN license required (pending license accepted)
  • BCLS and NIHSS certifications required
  • 1-2 years of recent telemetry RN experience preferred
  • Peritoneal dialysis experience required
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Must reside outside of a 75-mile radius from the facility
  • Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
