Job Title : Production Operator – Day Shift

Location : Canaan, CT

Shift & Schedule :

Day Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM

Alternating schedule : Mon / Tue / Fri / Sat / Sun / Wed / Fri (repeats every 2 weeks)

Must be flexible to work overtime as needed

Pay Rate : $20.00 per hour, paid biweekly

Job Type : W2 work assignment with opportunity for conversion to direct based on attendance and performance (6 month contract to start)

Job Summary :

We are seeking reliable and motivated Production Operators to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for supporting production operations by performing routine functions including filling, packing, packaging, assembling, labeling, inspecting, and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with FDA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO9000 standards.

Responsibilities :

Perform routine production functions such as filling, utility operations, packing, labeling, and inspecting under general supervision.

Maintain accurate records, logs, and quality documentation per GMP and ISO requirements.

Perform in-process quality checks and ensure product quality standards are met.

Assist with product or equipment changeovers, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance as needed.

Keep work area, machinery, and floors clean, neat, and orderly.

Accurately complete reporting for production, scrap / waste, SAP, and MES transactions.

Identify and report issues to the Cell Lead promptly.

Actively participate in problem-solving activities, CI initiatives, and Kaizens.

Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth shift handovers and effective communication.

Support business needs by working overtime when required.

Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions to meet production goals.

Perform other duties as assigned in a team-oriented environment.

Requirements :

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Prior industrial or manufacturing experience preferred.

Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English fluently.

Mandatory background check clearance prior to start.

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Ability to interpret specifications written in English and perform basic math calculations.

Must be punctual, dependable, and flexible with work hours.

Willingness to rotate between tasks and responsibilities as needed.

Direct supervision provided; works within routine, standard practices.
