Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and modify all types of trucks, highway construction and maintenance equipment, light vehicles and various types of other equipment used in highway maintenance and construction.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to all types of trucks, highway construction and maintenance equipment with services performed in the shop and in the field.
• Diagnose equipment problems using mechanical, electrical, and computerized test equipment; determine method of repair and cost / time associated with the repair.
• Repair equipment including mechanical, fuel, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems by replacing, fabricating, or revising parts and components.
• Perform equipment maintenance such as fluid / filter changes; replace brakes, exhaust systems, hydraulic hoses, etc.
