Youth Opportunity is a nationally recognized leader in residential and behavioral health treatment for at-risk youth Deep Creek Youth Academy in Hastings, Florida, is a 117-bed residential treatment center for boys ages 12 to 19.
The center provides 24 / 7 trauma-informed care through specialized programs, including intensive mental health, substance abuse treatment, developmental disabilities support, and medically complex care.
Youth receive individual, family, and group therapy, social and life skills training, victim impact awareness, restorative justice programming, and gender-specific clinical services. Educational and vocational opportunities are offered through the Florida Scholars Academy, including high school completion and industry-recognized credentials.
Length of stay varies based on treatment progress, with the program focused on preparing youth for successful reintegration into the community.

We are hiring anAssistant Clinical Director to join our leadership team in Hastings. This role is ideal for a licensed mental health professional seeking to work in youth behavioral health, juvenile care, or residential treatment. Youll provide direct clinical services, supervise clinical staff, and support youth through the stabilization and treatment process.
Assistant Clinical Director Responsibilities
Coordinate the implementation of individualized mental health and substance abuse treatment plansProvide ongoing assessment, evaluation, and counseling to youth and their families under supervision of the licensed Clinical DirectorOversee the delivery and documentation of all mental health and substance abuse services, including biopsychosocial assessmentsSupervise, direct, and evaluate clinical and case management staffProvide or coordinate training for clinical staff and direct-care teamsSupervise specialized treatment programs such as Sexual Offender Treatment or Seven ChallengesProvide diagnostic evaluations, individual therapy, and crisis interventionsParticipate in on-call clinical duties as neededServe as backup to the Designated Mental Health Authority when required by contract or regulationsRequired Qualifications
Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Clinical Psychologist in TennesseeMasters degree in counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, or related human services fieldMinimum two years of direct-care clinical experience, with at least one year of supervisory experience preferredAbility to pass background check and drug screenStrong clinical judgment and organizational skillsWillingness to work with youth in challenging situationsPreferred Experience
Experience with trauma-informed care, group modalities, and residential settingsFamiliarity withchild welfare, juvenile justice systems, and substance abuse treatmentExperience with EMR systems and clinical documentation standardsPhysical Demands
Must be able to lift 30 pounds from floor to shoulder heightExtensive walking and standing requiredMust be capable of detecting and quickly responding to client altercations, attempts at self-harm, or escape attempts, including applying approved physical restraint techniquesMust be able to participate with clients in active / passive team or individual activities, indoors or outdoors, sometimes during inclement weatherMust be able to transport clientsMust be in good physical health and emotionally stableMust be free from communicable diseases as defined by state law (to the extent knowledge is attainable under law)Must be able to pass the Professional Assault Response (PAR) certificationOther Requirements
