Role Overview :

As a Flex Officer , you are a vital part of our security operations team. Your role is to provide coverage across multiple sites or shifts as needed. This position is on-call and not guaranteed a fixed schedule or 40 hours per week . You may be contacted with short notice to fill in for call-outs, vacations, or special assignments.

Key Expectations :

Availability : You must be reachable and ready to report to duty when contacted. Flexibility in scheduling is essential.

  • Professionalism : Maintain a high standard of conduct and appearance at all times.
  • Adaptability : Be prepared to work at various locations and adapt to different site protocols.
  • Communication : Respond promptly to scheduling calls or messages from supervisors.
  • Documentation : Accurately complete all required reports and logs during your shift.

Important Notes :

  • Hours Vary : This position does not guarantee full-time hours. Shifts are assigned based on operational needs.
  • Short Notice : You may be called in with limited notice. Please keep your phone on and check messages regularly.
  • Training : You are expected to be familiar with general post orders and receive site-specific training when assigned.

    • Men : Conventional hairstyle not extending below the shirt collar, nor will a hairstyle contain designs of any kind. Mustaches and Beards must be kept neat and conformed to the contours of the face. Exceptions may be made for medical or religious reasons as reasonable accommodation. Hand and fingernails are to be kept clean and trimmed. Visible tattoos or body art are prohibited. Tattoos or body art must be covered by your uniform or by makeup of the same or similar color as your natural skin color. At no time will jewelry of any type or style be worn in hair.

    Women : Hair will be neat and well-groomed and not to extend past shirt collar. Hair sculpting or extreme hairstyles are not permitted. Extremes in hair dying, bleaching, or tinting are not permitted, and if hair is dyed, it must be in a natural color. Hand and fingernails are to be kept clean and trimmed. Nail polish may be used in a conservative manner. No extreme colors or styles or length. Visible tattoos or body art are prohibited. Tattoos or body art must be covered by your uniform or by makeup of the same or similar color as your natural skin color. At no time will jewelry of any type or style be worn in hair.

The Security Professional Flex Officer may be called upon to work irregular shifts at times with little to no advance notice.

    RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
  • Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
  • Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
  • Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
  • Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
  • Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
  • Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
  • Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders

    • QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE) :

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • Valid driver's license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws; Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • No prior experience required
  • Be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)
  • Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
  • Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and / or console monitors
  • Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; able to write informatively, clearly, and accurately

    • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE) :

  • Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic)
  • Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience
