JOB SUMMARY : The individual in this role provides supervision and leadership to Warehouse team members in the areas of production line supply, inventory management, as well as inbound and outbound shipments. Major responsibilities include receiving, shipping, organizing the warehouse, staging ingredients, training Material Handlers, notifying Production and Material Planning of raw material issues, and documenting all activities as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Oversee and plan product staging activities
- Create and manage pass-down reports and insure compliance throughout all shifts
- Oversee shipping and receiving activities including UPS, FedEx and other courier services
- Reporting and communication of inbound and outbound transaction activities
- Facilitate timely transactions in IFS and provide support in investigating and resolving logical inventory discrepancies or system errors
- Manage inventory by FEFO and FIFO
- Participate in monthly physical inventory and routine cycle counts
- Maintain and organize documentation of all transactions so that it is easily accessible in case of audit, recall, or other need
- Ensure a clean and orderly warehouse and dock area, maintaining a professional appearance, appropriate confidentiality, and adhering to company policies on materials management
- Supervise gatekeeping process and personnel to ensure timely receipt of finished goods and consumption of raw materials
- Ensure accurate and timely IFS transactions in production locations and participate in related cycle count activities
- Facilitate collaboration between line supply and gatekeeping
- Provide support to maintain the morale of the warehouse department through positive leadership engagement that helps to develop and foster highly engaged, self-directed work teams
- Assist in the creation, and / or revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Cross train warehouse staff to increase knowledge across all warehouse functions to ensure each position has adequate back-up
- Train new hires in safe and effective warehouse procedures and department policies
- Work with the Warehouse Manager to plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staffing levels, ensuring that activities are performed effectively
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES :
High School Diploma or equivalent required3-5 years of warehouse leadership experienceExperience driving a Forklift (Sit-down and Stand-up)Experience working in a WMS controlled environment is preferredAbility and willingness to learn and apply company standards including, but not limited to lock-out / tag-out, safety practices, GMPs, SOPs, employee handbook, etc.Ability to work in a team environment, being flexible and adaptive to changing needsAbility to lead, motivate and develop team membersStrong time management skills required; ability to adhere to a schedule and sustain the required pace of workAbility to handle multiple competing assignments without losing focus on quality and food safety, priorities and daily plans, as well as sticking to established workflowsAbility to understand and communicate instructions in EnglishProficiency in Microsoft Office Suites Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.Basic math skills requiredWORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL FACTORS :
Ability to sit / walk / stand up to 12 hours per dayAbility to operate a forklift safelyAbility to regularly lift and manipulate bags, boxes, and buckets up to and including 60 lbsAble to work in an environment containing nuts, peanuts, dairy, grains and other allergensMust have the ability to perform repetitive tasks quickly and accuratelyMust be available for all shifts, nights, weekends and some holidays if necessaryOther Duties as Assigned
