Tax Strategist (Remote)

Company : Melanin Money Enterpises | Full-Time | Remote (US, ET preferred)

Compensation : $100,000–$110,000 + performance bonus

Benefits : Health & personal life insurance, generous holidays, flexible schedule, financial planning services

Hours : 40–50 hrs / wk, 9AM–6PM ET (flexible during tax season)

Travel : 3–5 times per year

ABOUT THE TAX STRATEGIST POSITION

Melanin Money is a wealth management company on a mission to close the wealth gap by $100 billion, with a special emphasis on serving people of color while welcoming clients from all backgrounds. We're hiring a Tax Strategist to design advanced tax strategies for entrepreneurs, business owners, real estate investors, and high-income professionals.

This is a behind-the-scenes, high-impact role where you'll develop written tax plans and provide guidance that empowers our financial advisors to deliver outstanding results for clients. The position is full-time, remote, and open to US residents (ET preferred). Candidates must have 3+ years of advanced tax planning experience ; CPA or EA license strongly preferred .

You have 3+ years of advanced tax planning experience (CPA / EA preferred).

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop personalized tax strategies for entrepreneurs, business owners, investors, and high-income professionals.

Identify advanced planning opportunities in areas such as entity structuring, retirement plans, real estate, charitable giving, and wealth transfer.

Prepare client-ready tax plans with clear documentation and advisor-friendly explanations.

Research and monitor tax law changes , providing concise briefs and recommendations.

Collaborate with financial advisors to align tax strategies with client goals and deliver training to build advisor fluency.

Serve as a subject matter expert , equipping the team with insights and guidance to confidently present strategies to clients.
