Responsibilities Work in a progressive care unit with over 18 beds within a hospital setting Night shifts, 3x12 hours per week (0.9 FTE), schedule includes weekends and on-call as needed Floating required between departments and local locations within a 20-mile radius Patient population includes those requiring telemetry monitoring Epic EMR is used and experience is preferred Responsibilities include direct patient care, assessment, planning, documentation, and care coordination with families and the healthcare team Supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel required Must be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and function as a collaborative team member Candidates must pass a BCA exam administered onsite during orientation, with one opportunity to retest if initially unsuccessful Returning former perm staff must wait at least one year before being eligible for consideration as a traveler Scrub or dress code requirements will be communicated during orientation Requirements Active New Mexico or compact RN license is required Current BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross required Minimum two years of recent experience in an 18-plus bed telemetry or progressive care unit required Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment required Ability to pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) assessment before or during the first week of assignment; failure after two attempts will result in termination Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required NIHSS certification preferred Epic EMR experience preferred Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; no locals allowed Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626782.
