Second Shift Lead - Dallas, TX
We are hiring a Second Shift (Monday-Thursday-3 : 00 PM-2 : 00 AM) Lead to supervise, coordinate, and execute receiving activities to ensure a safe and efficient operation at our Dallas Zacha location. This full-time hourly position will report to the Facility Manager to support our customers with high quality, accurate, and timely service.
This position is 100% outside. Starting pay is $23.00 / hour plus applicable shift premium.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Supervision of warehouse employees.
- Ensure all safety and position standard operating procedures are followed.
- Operate a lift truck to pick orders, load and unload products onto trailers, containers, flat beds and railcars.
- Utilize all material handling technology to maximize efficiency and maintain accurate inventory.
- Cover full operation in Facility Manager's absence.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Ability to provide direction to team members in the facility.Must be safety-conscious, able to work under pressure, and meet changing deadlines.Good understanding of office procedures and ensure completion of all required training.Basic math, reading, and writing skills to ensure accurate counts and paperwork.Ability to operate technology equipment, including Radio Frequency (RF) Scanners to manage inventory.Previous knowledge or a desire to learn about the product being handled.Ability to follow instructions and follow through on assigned tasks and responsibilities.Ability to build a professional business relationship with customers.Education and Experience :
Minimum 2 years of previous supervisory experience in a warehouse environment.Minimum 2 years of previous lift truck experience; loading and unloading trailers, containers, and railcars.Minimum 2 years of experience working in a warehouse environment.Experience operating lift truck attachments such as forks, carton clamp, roll grab, and pulp clamp.Physical Capabilities and Requirements :
Ability to sit for extended periods through hot and cold temperatures.Ability to repetitively twist or turn to drive in reverse; and stand, climb, kneel, stoop, and squat, as needed.Must be willing and able to safely lift to 60 pounds, and slide, push or pull cases weighing up to 150 pounds.Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniforms that are provided by the company.Benefits and Total Rewards :
