Travel Nursing Job Details Job Title : Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Travel Location : Alpena, Michigan (zip 49707) Employment Type : Travel nursing contract Healthcare Setting : Operating Room (OR) Start Date : October 13, 2025 End Date : January 5, 2026 Assignment Length : 12 weeks Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Shift : Day shifts, 6 : 30am–3 : 00pm or 6 : 30am–5 : 00pm (10-hour shifts) On-Call : 1 weekday per week and 1 weekend per month Estimated Weekly Salary : $1920–$2060 per week Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Michigan RN license required Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience Proficiency in a range of surgical cases : general, orthopedic, OB / GYN (including endoscopy), endoscopy, and eye procedures (preferred) BLS certification (AHA required) Current skills checklist (within 1 year, relevant to OR specialty) 2 recent supervisory reference forms (within the last 2 years) Permanent address must be outside a 50-mile radius of Alpena, MI (local candidates not considered) OR RN Responsibilities Assess surgical patients and develop individualized nursing care plans Implement, evaluate, and document patient care throughout surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety Provide leadership and supervision to the operating room team, coordinating schedules and workflow Prepare and assemble surgical equipment and supplies; assist anesthesia as needed; monitor the sterile field Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, OR staff, supervisors, and ancillary healthcare departments Participate in staff development, preceptorship, in-services, and continuing education for professional growth Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse in Alpena, Michigan.
