About the Role :

Are you passionate about providing exceptional care in a fast-paced clinical setting? Florida Orthopaedic Institute is looking for dependable, patient-focused Medical Assistants to support our providers and enhance patient experience. In this full-time role, you will play an essential part in delivering quality, high-volume orthopedic care while ensuring every patient feels seen, heard, and cared for.

What You’ll Do :

  • Support your assigned provider(s) by preparing exam rooms, escorting patients, and assisting with procedures including injections and dressing changes.
  • Educate patients on post-visit instructions, ensure prescriptions and other orders are submitted accurately, and answer all patients’ questions.
  • Review and verify patient medical histories and other intake information received through intake tables is accurate and complete.
  • Document vitals and complete required quality measures.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and fully stocked clinical workspace at all times.
  • Collaborate closely with your team to ensure smooth, high-quality patient flow in a busy clinical environment

  • What You Need :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Medical Assistant Diploma or Certification (required)
  • BLS Certification (required within 90 days of hire)
  • FOI provides BLS classes for all employees requiring certification.
  • Open to flexible work hours
  • Strong communication skills and a professional presence
  • Advantage If You Have :

  • Experience in orthopedics, trauma, or a high-volume practice
  • Athena EMR experience
  • Prior experience assisting with procedures such as injections or suture removal
