Security Officer
The purpose of this job is to perform the duties of Security Officer in accordance with company standards for satisfactory performance.
Essential Job Description : Patrols hotel premises to maintain order, enforce regulations, and ensure observance of applicable laws by performing the following duties. Essential duties and responsibilities are as follows (other duties may be assigned) :
- Patrols lobbies, corridors, guest rooms, and other hotel areas, confers with management, interviews guests and employees.
- Interrogates persons to detect infringements and investigate disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalisms, accidents, illness, violations of policies, and any other loss related event.
- Patrols hotel areas to detect / report and / or control fires, unsafe conditions, and missing or inoperative safety equipment.
- Warns or ejects troublemakers, and cautions careless persons.
- Responds to, controls, provides and obtains assistance for victims of accidents and / or illness. Also reports on such in documentation.
- Notifies staff of presence of persons with questionable reputations.
- Assists management and law enforcement officers in emergency situations.
- Controls all situations in a calm, professional, and hospitable manner.
- Completes daily logs and incident reports.
- Follows lost and found procedures.
- Conducts daily key inventories and reports and variances.
- Responds to alarm notifications.
- Assists with emergency / evacuation training and processes.
What are we looking for?
Someone with a High school diploma or equivalent.Someone with prior hospitality / purchasing experience preferredSomeone with at least one year customer service experience preferredSomeone with 2 years Security or Police (military or civilian) experience, preferably with exposure to the hotel environmentSomeone with 2 years of college in a safety, security or hospitality related disciplineSomeone with able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidaysSomeone with First Aid / CPR certification, prefer instructor ratingSomeone with high quality written and oral communication skillsPyramid Global Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer.
