• Job Description

As a Hospitalist at ISG, you will provide high-quality, cost-effective and evidence-based medical care to patients. Your role involves delivering clinical care to patients admitted at our affiliated hospitals offering consultative general internal medicine support to surgical and specialty services, coordinating patient care at discharge and facilitating seamless hand-offs.

• Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including histories, physical examinations, and clinical management.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic patient conditions, including daily care and treatment plans.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds at the facility.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies and laboratory tests.
• Prescribe or recommend pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, including controlled medications.
• Consult with appropriate physicians for patient care needs and refer patients to relevant care sources as required.
• Ensure efficient resource utilization while adhering to clinical pathways and compliance standards.
• Facilitate timely referrals to tertiary care facilities in consultation with primary care or attending physicians.
• Qualifications
• Medical degree (MD or DO).
• Completion of advanced graduate medical education in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Active Florida medical license.
• DEA license (active or eligible).
• Required Skills
• Expertise in primary care, acute care and chronic care practices.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare and patient care regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
