The Bar Plan has an opportunity for a National Sales Director who will lead the company's sales and growth initiatives. This position is responsible for developing, executing and managing a strategic sales and marketing plan to achieve growth. The Director manages a staff of 3-4 individuals. They are responsible for staff development, client retention, and increasing new sales. The Director must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, a professional and positive demeanor, and the ability to build and manage key relationships. The Director must also possess excellent speaking and presentation skills and the ability to develop and manage an effective communications strategy.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a related field of Marketing, Sales, Communications or Business Management; MBA preferred.
- Five years' experience in insurance sales or in professional liability claims required
- Prior experience in a leadership position is required.
- Must have a proven track record in sales and sales management, with a strong preference for Insurance Sales experience, experience developing and implementing a successful Strategic Sales Plan, and a working knowledge of marketing concepts and use of social media, public relations and other tools to support sales.
- A background in the legal profession is preferred and may be considered in the absence of other required experience.
Responsibilities Include :
Develop and implement a strategic plan for sales focused on growth and long-term relationships.Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies consistent with the strategic plan to achieve operational objectives.Set clear goals and objectives for staff and regularly evaluate their performance. Timely address performance deficiencies and oversee staff development.Direct the operations and management of the sales team.Prepare and manage an annual budget. Participate fully in the company's management team and work collaboratively to support the company's mission and achieve its operational objectives.Serve on committees as warranted.Seek out and identify sales growth opportunities and implement strategies to capitalize on them.Prepare and present sales presentations to promote The Bar Plan products and services.Attend bar meetings, conferences and events as a leader and representative of the Company.Travel throughout the Company's sales territory to build relationships, service accounts, give presentations and represent the company.This position is with a St. Louis based company.
