Role Overview

As a Travel SLP, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a rehab setting. You will create individualized care plans, provide patient and family education, and document progress in compliance with all regulatory and clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities

Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing disorders.

Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans based on patient progress.

Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based interventions.

Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and team members.

Document treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries per regulatory standards.

Participate in required patient care conferences, rehabilitation meetings, and trainings.

Supervise and support CFY or student SLPs as needed.

Ensure compliance with ASHA, state practice acts, and professional ethics.

Qualifications

Active ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) – Required

Missouri State License – Required

1+ year of SLP experience – Required

LTC or SNF experience – Required

3+ years of CCS experience – Preferred
