Overview

Awetomaton is seeking a Full-Stack Web Developer to support customers at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. In this role you will interface with end-users to understand and refine requirements for applications supporting mission needs. You will be applying expertise in JavaScript and modern web frameworks to enable rapid search, discovery, visualization, and retrieval of data. The ideal candidate will possess a BS degree or higher in engineering or related field with 5-10 years of experience. This position will largely be performed at Awetomaton Beavercreek HQ, with occasional trips to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base for meetings and software deliveries.

Top Secret security clearance preferred. Clearance sponsorship will be considered for exceptional candidates.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively in both written and verbal form with peers and decision makers

Demonstrate initiative when faced with limited guidance or ambiguous requirements

Expert in modern web application technologies including TypeScript, React, NodeJS, etc.

Experienced deploying web applications via containerization

UI / UX excellence

Proficient in building and integrating RESTful APIs and server-side logic

Required Experience and Skills

Five (5) years of minimum experience in a software focused engineering career (Software Engineer, Computer Science, etc.)

Two (2) years of minimum experience developing web applications with React

Two (2) years of minimum experience in JavaScript / TypeScript, CSS / SASS / LESS, HTML

Two (2) years of minimum experience with back-end development using Node.js, including frameworks like Express.js or similar

Experience with database technologies such as SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB)

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Engineering discipline

Mastery of software configuration management using Git

Experience with Container Technology (Docker / podman / etc.)

Desired Education and Experience

Master of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Engineering discipline

In-scope Counter Intelligence (CI) Polygraph

Ten (10) years of experience developing web applications with modern web app libraries and frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, etc).

Experience with React frameworks such as Next.js or React Router

Experience with database design, querying, and integration (e.g., ORM tools like Sequelize or Mongoose)

Experience following GitFlow and GitOps workflows using team repository (GitHub / Gitlab / etc.)

Demonstrable excellence in UI / UX

Expertise with Container Technology (Docker / podman / etc.)
