Security Professional Retail Access Control

As a Security Professional Retail Access Control in Mount Juliet, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availabilitygiving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence for visitors and staff. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, managing access points, and offering exceptional customer service through clear communication. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by remaining visible and approachable. Pay Rate : $16.87 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Tue 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

Wed 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the retail location.
  • Verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises, following site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and / or vendors with access-related inquiries.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail environment and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and / or irregularities as required by site policies.
  • Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, coordinating with Allied Universal management and local authorities as needed.
  • Maintain a visible presence at access points to help to deter potential disruptions and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
