BlazerJobs is seeking a compassionate and experienced Special Education Teacher to support a middle school caseload in Lake Oswego, Oregon. This full-time role involves working with some of the districts most impacted students, providing specialized instruction and support to meet their unique educational and care needs.
Caseload Details
Serve a small caseload of 4 students with significant needs
Students may require toileting and feeding protocols
Caseload includes behavioral challenges requiring patience and strong behavior management skills
Focus on providing a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment tailored to each students needs

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs
Provide direct instruction and therapeutic support to students with severe disabilities

Support student independence and academic growth in a middle school setting

Has experience working with students with severe disabilities and behavioral challenges
Is comfortable and skilled in managing toileting and feeding protocols
Demonstrates patience, empathy, and resilience in supporting high-need students
Holds valid Oregon teaching certification in special education or equivalent
Works collaboratively with teams and families to promote student success
