Thomas & Hutton has an opening for an experienced Survey Crew Chief to join our Survey Department in Murfreesboro, TN.

Survey Crew Chiefs are responsible for directing crews of two or more people in successfully completing a variety of field assignments. It is a supervisory position that requires high impact decisions and directing the work of others while continuing to perform the same technical duties as other crew members.

Minimum Requirements :

Education : High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience : 3+ years experience as a Survey Crew Chief preferred. Prior experience conducting boundary and topographic surveys required.

Skills :

• This position will require driving. A valid driver's license is required.
• Working knowledge of data collectors, robotic total stations, GPS equipment and automatic and / or digital levels.
• The ability to work a regular four-day schedule of 6 : 30AM - 5 : 30PM Monday - Thursday.
• Strong math skills
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Experience preparing detailed survey field notes and sketches of work performed.
• The ability to perform strenuous physical activity in a wide range of temperatures and work environments.
• The ability for occasional overnight travel
