• And much more…\n\nThe Registered Nurse, Emergency Room provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.\n\n
• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.\n\n
• Documents patient care given.\n\n
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.\n\n
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.\n\n
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual / psychosocial support needs.\n\n
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.\n\n
• Works with patients' families to help improve the patient's abilities and help them deal with family member's illness.\n\nRequired Skills\n\n

• Capable of working in a stressful environment and taking appropriate action.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nEducation : \n\n
• Associate's Degree required\n\n
• Bachelor's Degree preferred\n\nCertifications : \n\n
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire\n\n
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire\n\n
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 30 days of hire\n\n
• Handle With Care (HWC) within 6 months of hire\n\nLicenses : \n\n
• Registered Nurse licensed to work in the State of Kentucky.\n
