Technical Editor Position

Syntelligent Analytic Solutions, LLC is seeking a Technical Editor to support a Government Customer at the Pentagon. The role involves editing and proofing intelligence products to meet agency publication standards and classification guidelines.

Duties

  • Reviews intelligence products for proper grammar, punctuation, and syntax, as well as for logic, clarity, and consistency.
  • Ensures that style and format conform to agency publication standards and that language presentation is consistent with prescribed style guides and specialized vocabulary of subject matter fields.
  • Amends draft tables, tone boxes, and graphics to ensure the content supports and is consistent with the accompanying text.
  • Ensures proper classification markings in accordance with IC guidance and works with authors to revise products for narrative organization.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a writer, editor, or intelligence analyst in an IC organization.
  • Knowledge of the intelligence community and ability to apply IC analytic standards and tradecraft.
  • Experience producing all-source intelligence analysis and managing the production of analysis products.
  • Active TS / SCI clearance required; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant experience or 7 years of relevant experience.

    IFPC within 90 Days of Hire

    Physical Requirements

    Must be able to sit / stand at a desk for long periods and lift 20 pounds occasionally.

    Mental Requirements

    Must be able to multi-task and rapidly change priorities with limited notice.

    Compensation

    $105,000 – $115,000

    Location & Shift

    Pentagon, 1400 Defense Pentagon, Arlington, VA; Day shift 0830-1630.
