Role Overview

  • Lead complex construction dispute resolution engagements and provide strategic advisory services to Fortune 500 clients, government agencies, and major capital project stakeholders
  • Serve as primary client relationship manager and technical expert on high-profile construction disputes, claims, and litigation matters

Responsibilities

  • Lead detailed analyses of project schedule delays, cost overruns, productivity, contracts, change orders and other issues related to design and construction
  • Research and analyze project cost records and financial statements
  • Reconcile claim amounts to accounting systems and to insurers' calculations
  • Develop computer models of schedules, contractor production rates and costs using Primavera P6 and other software packages
  • Oversee data gathering activities including document review, and supervision and quality control of data entry activities
  • Supervise project personnel and their work product, including analysts, associates, client personnel, and clerical support
  • Prepare comprehensive client communications and technical work product for senior-level review
  • Lead engagement planning including proposals, budgeting and budget tracking, and work task development

    • Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field from an accredited institution; Advanced degree preferred
  • 5-7 years of disputes / claims consulting experience in the construction and engineering industries with proven ability in report writing and technical documentation
  • Strong experience with project controls / scheduling and proficiency with Primavera Project Planner - advanced P6 skills essential
  • Proven experience in damages and investigative work focused on contractual disputes, claims, and litigation
  • Proficient in MS Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access; Experience with MS Project beneficial
  • Proficiency with Primavera Project Planner required - advanced P6 scheduling and project controls experience highly preferred
  • Business-level fluency in both Spanish and English required
  • Professional certifications (PE, PMP, CCM, or equivalent) strongly preferred
  • Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Experience managing client relationships and leading project teams

    • Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required (up to 25%)
  • Experience with international construction projects and familiarity with various contract forms (FIDIC, AIA, EJCDC) preferred
