Job Summary
Provide components of physical therapy interventions under direction of a PT; document responses to treatment; and communicate progress and concerns promptly to the supervising PT.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment areas; transport patients safely; follow the written plan of care and proper sequence.
- Administer modalities and therapeutic exercises; reinforce correct technique and equipment use.
- Monitor and document patient response; report outcomes to the PT and suggest progression.
- Fit orthotics / prosthetics, measure for canes / crutches, and provide gait training per PT direction.
- Maintain accurate charges and documentation; practice safe body mechanics and lift / device use.
Job Qualifications
Required
Associate's degree from an APTA-approved PTA program; Arkansas PTA license; BLS.Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; commitment to ongoing learning.Preferred
Prior PTA experience in acute, outpatient, or swing-bed settings.Compensation & Schedule
