Synapse ITS is looking for an energetic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager for the Roadways West territory to support the products of the Company’s platform. This position is responsible for maintaining and developing successful relationships with our Traffic / Transportation Channel Distributors and driving business growth in the area. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, excellent communication skills, and a passion for meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Location : This is a remote position. The employee must reside within the Roadways West territory (Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Saskatchewan, or Yukon). California residency is preferred.

Essential Job Functions

Sales Growth & Account Management :

  • Drive product specifications with government agencies to achieve profitable sales growth.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their needs and providing solutions through a consultative sales process.
  • Navigate a complex sales cycle with multiple stakeholders and build relationships with decision makers throughout.
  • Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within the scheduled timeline.
  • Keep abreast of product changes, market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth.

Support & Industry Engagement :

  • Support distributors’ sales enablement and product education to strengthen their ability to drive demand, including identifying areas of opportunity within our distribution network.
  • Actively participate in webinars, trade shows, and conferences for the purpose of promoting company products and specifications.
  • Administrative & Reporting :

  • Ensure accurate expense reporting and adherence to the corporate budget.
  • Regularly update colleagues on progress and provide sales forecasts for the territory.
  • Utilize CRM for accurate reporting and analysis.
  • Other sales-related duties and projects as assigned in the role of Regional Sales Manager.
  • Requirements :

    Education Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, economics, behavioral sciences, engineering, or a related field.

    Requirements :

  • Proven +5 years track record of driving sales growth of technical solutions including hardware and software.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with distributors, customers, and stakeholders with a commitment to service excellence.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong product knowledge, as well as an understanding of competitor positioning.
  • Proven ability to develop creative product marketing programs based on local market needs.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office, lead generation, and other relevant tools.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and group communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Physical Requirements :

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.

    The base salary range for this position is $100,000 – $125,000 annually, depending on geographic location and experience. This role also includes eligibility for a commission plan based on sales performance. The anticipated total compensation (on-target earnings) for this position ranges from $150,000 – $200,000 annually, with the opportunity to exceed OTE for overperformance.
