Role Impact

Last Call Media ("Last Call") is looking for a Proposal & Technical Writer who has consistently written compelling proposals that won work. You\'ll translate complex technical solutions into clear, persuasive narratives that demonstrate Last Call’s value to prospective clients and help us stand out in competitive procurements. You\'ll be instrumental in maturing our proposal function—refining our processes, strengthening our content library, and establishing best practices as we scale.

Responsibilities

• Owns end-to-end writing of proposal content that aligns with win themes, sales strategy, RFP requirements, and evaluation criteria
• Self-edits content for clarity, accuracy, and alignment with Last Call’s brand voice and tone guidelines
• Develops foundational proposal content including case studies, blog posts, project descriptions, capability statements, and past performance narratives
• Attends project demos and debriefs to extract insights and translate technical work into compelling stories
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and Marketing team to gather input, refine drafts, and build a library of content that strengthens future proposals
• Identifies gaps in our content library and processes, recommending improvements
• Technical Writing Proficiency : Translates complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives that demonstrate value through specific examples and outcomes. Writes in Last Call\'s voice while avoiding generic, AI-sounding, or formulaic language
• Audience Awareness : Frames content strategically for both technical and non-technical audiences, aligning language with client priorities and evaluation criteria
• Collaboration : Works effectively with capture managers, proposal managers, subject matter experts, marketing, and other stakeholders to gather input and incorporate feedback under tight deadlines
• (Nice to have) Proposal Process Knowledge : Familiarity with standard proposal development methodologies like Shipley
• Asks clarifying questions when facing ambiguity rather than making assumptions
• Speaks up early when something isn\'t working or doesn\'t make sense
• Takes action with incomplete information and learns through iteration
• Maintains a constructive, solution-oriented approach when receiving critical feedback
• Stays engaged and positive when juggling competing priorities under pressure
