Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of recent Cath Lab and EP experience, and active ARRT, RCIS, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
Responsibilities
Position is based in an acute care cardiac catheterization laboratoryThe unit operates 2 Cath Lab suites and 1 suite for vascular proceduresAverage caseload is 22 cases daily across Cath Lab and EP, including right and left heart caths, structural heart and vascular cases such as TAVR and MitraClipProcedures require knowledge of IABP and Impella insertionTechs will scrub, monitor, and document during casesUses Epic EMR, MacLab, and GE Imaging equipmentDay shifts are 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM with call requirementsCall expectation is approximately 10 days of call within a 6-week period with a 30-minute response timeTeam-focused environment where staff may float between Cath Lab and EP procedures within the combined unitDuties include prepping, scrubbing, monitoring, documenting, and supporting recovery for a variety of interventional cardiac and vascular casesA lead technologist or charge nurse provides support when staffing allowsTypical schedule may require work past shift end to ensure completion of urgent casesOrientation period is 1 weekScrubs are providedTeamwork and adaptability are prioritized within this blended cardiovascular environmentCandidates who have worked for any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility full-time, part-time, or PRN within the last year are not eligiblePermanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the facility for candidates residing in AZ, NV, NE, IA, or MN for travel considerationRequirements
Minimum of 2 years' experience in Cath Lab and EPActive State or Compact (NLC) License required if applicable; pending licenses not acceptedCurrent ARRT, RCIS, BLS, and ACLS certifications required; pending certifications not acceptedExperience with sedation and Phase 1 recovery strongly preferred; ICU or PACU background is a plusDemonstrated proficiency with right and left heart catheterization, structural heart procedures, IABP and ImpellaFamiliarity with Epic charting, MacLab, and GE Imaging systems is requiredAbility to scrub, monitor, and document procedures accuratelyCopy of driver's license must be provided for considerationTwo professional references required : one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibilityBenefits
