SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER HYBRID WASHINGTON, DC

Our client, a major membership association, seeks a Project Manager for a 12-Month hybrid contract position, in Washington, DC. The Project Manager executes projects from medium to large multi-functional teams that support the achievement of organizational strategic priorities.

Responsibilities :

• Acts as Super PM of PMs or team leads.
• Orchestrates internal and external stakeholder teams that consist of both technical Team PMs and business / creative Team Leads and ensures the timely completion of project objectives and scope.
• Oversees all aspects of project management including project charter development, identifying stakeholders (team PMs or leads) across multi-functional business and technical teams; defines communication approaching (including developing and maintaining project workspace); captures and clarifies project scope, creates and manages project schedules and track tasks, identifies project risks and defines mitigation plans; engages stakeholders, and oversees project retrospectives.
• May orchestrate work during Discovery and Design phases as well as go-to-market implementations.
• Updates and maintains associated project management processes, and helps to develop and implement new and evolving business processes.
• Defines milestones and reports on the health of projects to team and senior management.
• Highlights risk mitigation plans and trade-offs needed to move project forward.
• Oversee the execution of administrative tasks as necessary, such as calendaring, organizing meetings, and ensuring the documentation of meetings results.
• Identifies project management process improvements through project retrospectives and determination of best practices
• Establishes project workspace and project communication plans and ensures all stakeholders are informed regarding project status, issues and impacts, as well as working norms.
• Collaborates with management to identify opportunities to streamline processes and develop new procedures that support the business unit / department.
• Achieves success by optimizing aptitudes of curiosity, connecting the dots across stakeholder teams, problem-solving, leadership, organizational abilities, and communication.
• No budget stewardship responsibilities.
