Shift : Flexible, includes weekends and varied shifts Description : The Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist works under the supervision of physicians to assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac, electrophysiology, and vascular procedures. The role involves setting up equipment, monitoring patients, documenting procedures, and functioning as a scrub assistant in an environment that uses ionizing radiation. Assist with cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, and peripheral vascular procedures. Prepare procedure rooms and ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies. Monitor patients vital signs, ECG, and hemodynamic tracings during procedures. Provide intra-procedural support including sheath removal, groin management, IABP troubleshooting, and patient transport. Maintain proficiency in IVUS, ICE, FFR, IFR, RFR, OCT, and other catheter-based imaging modalities. Support cardiologists with calculations and interpretive measurements. Manage inventory, supplies, and ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards. Document all procedural data accurately and maintain departmental records. Train and mentor new staff and interns.
