American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level III / IV NICU position requiring Epic EMR proficiency and at least 3 years of neonatal intensive care experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a Level III / IV NICU within a hospital settingDedicated admit nurse on the unit; travelers rarely admit babiesUnit cares for neonates as early as 23-24 weeks gestationAverage census is 50 in a 77-bed NICUUse of CPAP / BiPap, high-frequency ventilators, oscillators, standard ventilators, blood and blood products administration, cardioversion / defibrillation, cooling / warming blankets, feeding tubes, PICC / central lines, syringe pumpsAttend high-risk deliveries and assist with neonatal surgeriesOccasional floating to other campuses or Pediatric units, primarily for infants if neededDay shifts (3x12 hour, 7 : 00–19 : 30)Block scheduling is available upon requestEpic EMR is used and requiredMain duties involve providing advanced nursing care to critically ill neonates and participating in high-risk deliveriesTravelers rarely admit patients due to presence of a dedicated admit nurseFirst-time travelers may apply if meeting experience requirementsFloating to other units or campuses may occur, including Issaquah or Edmonds SCN and Pediatrics (infant care only)Dress code and work environment details provided upon assignmentMinimal to no RTO preferred; time-off requests must be addressed at submissionTravelers may have contract terminated or be ineligible for future assignments if floating is refusedNot eligible if living within 50 miles of facility\n \n Requirements\n
Active WA or compact state RN license requiredMinimum 3 years of recent NICU experienceExperience in Level III or IV neonatal intensive careCurrent BLS and NRP certifications requiredDemonstrated proficiency with neonatal ventilators and advanced respiratory equipmentAbility to float between facilities within the state as neededAt least 3 months separated from any previous permanent employment with Providence-affiliated facilitiesReferences must cover at least 1 year within the last three years in a comparable specialtySSN and DOB required for consideration\n Benefits\n
