Estimated Weekly Salary Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,910 - $1,960 ER Registered Nurse Job Details Location : Lexington, KY 40536 (Kentucky nursing jobs) Assignment Type : Locum tenens, Travel Nurse Contract Unit : Emergency Department (ER) Shift : 12-hour night shifts (19 : 00 – 07 : 30) Hours per Week : 36 Contract Duration : 14 weeks (11 / 18 / 2025 – 2 / 24 / 2026) Patient Population : Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics Weekend Coverage : 4-5 weekend shifts per 6 weeks Orientation : 40 hours ER RN Qualifications and Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent experience as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse Active Kentucky or compact state RN license (required at time of submission) BLS, ACLS, PALS (or ENPC), TNCC, NIHSS certifications required Level 1 Trauma Center experience preferred Travel nursing experience preferred, but not required (first-time travelers must have Level 1 ER experience) COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical / religious exemptions considered) 1 reference from a charge nurse or supervisor required No local candidates within 75 miles of Lexington, KY No licensure hits accepted ER Nurse Responsibilities Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in a high-volume ER (approx. 250 visits / day) Perform triage, assessment, and continuous monitoring of patients Administer medications, IV therapies, and manage ventilated patients Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias; respond to rapid response calls Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, and Pharmacy Float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed Maintain compliance with all required nursing certifications and complete onboarding modules and competency exams Document patient care accurately and efficiently using the facility’s electronic charting system Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel ER Registered Nurse in Lexington, Kentucky, and make a difference in emergency nursing care!
