How Will You Contribute and Grow?

The Second Shift Plant Supervisor is responsible for supervising the day to day activities for a segment within the industrial, specialty and medical distribution and gas filling operations of a production location. This hands-on position assists with managing all gas cylinder handling and compliance with all Food & Drug Administration (FDA), Department of Transportation (DOT), Occupational Health & Safety Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), SAFECORE, and other business related compliance activities.

In particular you will :

• Partner with other Plant leaders to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Promote a strong safety and compliance culture correcting unsafe acts or conditions without delay and enforcing safety regulations.
• Ensure all safety materials are delivered upon frequency and documentation is archived per requirements.
• Assign tasks to workers according to customers' needs, current stock levels and worker's expertise, including but not limited to the loading and unloading of all fleet and the production of all cylinders required upon scheduled shift.
• Implement measures to improve the stripping and loading of trucks, quality of stores controls and initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
• Review incoming shipment post trip and drops reroutes off current shipments and notify distribution list of deliveries removed from shipment.
• Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.
• Train new workers and cross train employees to continue production during personnel shortages or may fill as needed.
• Approve time worked and coordinate all time balances which includes approval and managing planned time off.
• Additional duties and projects as may be assigned.
