Locum Physician - General Medicine in Houston, TX

Join a dedicated team helping our nation's Veterans. We are seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in Houston, Texas. This locum position offers flexibility with the opportunity to work on a PRN basis, whether for days or full days. Your expertise will contribute to crucial assessments while enjoying the vibrant culture and community of Houston.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
  • Carry out primarily interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments.
  • Perform range of motion and muscle strength testing as part of assessments.
  • Complete necessary reports and addendums in a timely manner.
  • Administer evaluations on a PRN basis, coordinating your schedule to match needs.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
  • Must own a laptop (not Mac / Apple products).
  • AANP certified.
  • Active and unrestricted full medical license.
  • Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.

  • Current medical license number.
  • Certification number.
  • Confirmation of willingness to perform General Medicine evaluations.
  • Home address required for presentation.
  • Proof of having your own office, if applicable.
